The surgery is using telephone triage for all patients.  If you need to be seen, a GP will arrange for you to be seen in the practice. 

NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.

Gets an isolation note at

Use this service if:

  • you think you might have coronavirus
  • you've been in close contact with someone with coronavirus
  • cough/cold, high temperature, shortness of breath

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.

Nail Care - Kings Norton Surgery

Our Healthcare Assistant can carry out basic nail care, including filing, nail cutting.  There is a charge for the service.  Details available from reception.

Shisha - Dont Be Fooled!

Recent research has revelead that smoking shisha for one hour can be as harmful as smoking up to 100 cigarettes.Smoking shisha can lead to high levels of carbon monoxide being passed through the lungs.

NHS Health Checks

Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes or kidney disease.  The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented - even if you have a history of them in your family.  We offer free NHS Health Checks to help you be better prepared for the future and be more able to take steps to maintain or improve your health.

Minor Surgery

We offer a full range of minor surgery services from removal of skin tags and moles to sebaceous cysts.  Please see your Doctor to discuss.

Antenatal Care

The Midwife holds a clinic at the Surgery, by appointment, every Tuesday morning.

Contraceptive Advice

We provide a full range of contraceptive services including the Pill, Injections and Condom. The Doctors are also able to fit Coils, implants, both to our patients and patients from other surgeries.

Travel Vaccines

We offer all vaccines except yellow fever. Please book with our practice nurse to discuss, preferably 6 weeks before travel. Some vaccines have a charge - we keep this as low as possible.  We also provide private prescriptions for malaria tablets

Spirometry - At Kings Norton Surgery

This is a simple lung test that can be done by blowing into the computer.  It can help diagnose a range of conditions including COPD. You are at risk of COPD if you are a smoker over the age of 40 years!


We provide Warfarin monitoring and run clinics all day on Wednesdays (Kings Norton) and Thursday morning (Ash Tree), both to our patients and patients from other surgeries.
