Coronavirus

The surgery is using telephone triage for all patients.  If you need to be seen, a GP will arrange for you to be seen in the practice.

NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.

Gets an isolation note at https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note/

Use this service if:

  • you think you might have coronavirus
  • you've been in close contact with someone with coronavirus
  • cough/cold, high temperature, shortness of breath

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.

green pillsRepeat prescriptions

Some patients who are on regular medicines may be issued with repeat prescriptions without necessarily consulting a Doctor every time.

Please use the form at all times and deliver it to Reception. We cannot deal with prescription requests over the phone for safety reasons, however we are happy to receive a fax or a request from your pharmacist.  We hope soon to have a on-line request service running.

A Doctor will still need to see you at least once a year to review your medication. This review date is at the bottom of your repeat prescription slip. If you come to reception we can often do your prescription while you wait if your checks are up to date and the drugs are due.  If you leave your prescription with us please allow 24 hours for collection of your new prescription.

Place your request in the box on reception, in the letterbox if we are closed, fax to 0121 459 1182 or send your request by post enclosing a S.A.E.

Local chemists offer a prescription collection service from our surgery.  This saves you at least one trip to the surgery and you can go directly to the chemist for your medication.  Please discuss with your nearest chemist.
